About

I am a doctoral student at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, holding a MS in Library & Information Science from Syracuse University and BS & MS degrees in Computer Science from Dnipropetrovsk National University in Ukraine.
Currently I am studying social, cognitive and metacognitive processes in e-learning community discourse using text mining and visualization techniques. My recent work has included the development and evaluation of various visualization tools and techniques addressing both content and social networks to provide researchers with additional insights into behaviors and attitudes of network members and their relationships to each other.
My other research interests are Information Organization and Access (in particular, Folksonomies and Web APIs), Digital Libraries and Information Retrieval in the Context of Users’ Broader Activities.
